    PPYC is excited to introduce Korine Fujiwara, and Max Lifchitz as additional judges on the 2009 judging panel.

    PPYC Executive and Artistic Director Leonard Rhodes announces significant changes and additions to the categories in Divisions 1, 2 and 3. If you have entered compositions in previous years, please check the appropriate category for 2009.

  • Wine, Cheese and Music Fundraiser
    Our 1st Wine, Cheese & Music Fundraiser Event was an amazing success.  65+ people attended the event and three young composers delighted everyone with their compositions.  A grant through the Bea Vradenburg Foundation for $1500.00 was available providing PPYC could match the $1500.00 grant.  We raised $2,585.00 achieving our goal.  We do plan to host quarterly Wine, Cheese & Music events beginning in 2009.


  • New Board Members
    In September 2008 Pikes Peak Young Composers elected new board members.  We are very excited about all the energy and motivation these people bring to PPYC!
  • 2008 Competition Winners
    Pikes Peak Young Composers is thrilled to announce the winners and honorable mentions in our 2008 Competition.  This was a very exciting year for us.  For the first time in our history we received entries from outside of the United States, including a participant from Hong Kong! Needless to say the talent was extraordinary!
